1. John BARKER¹ was born between 1720 and 1730 in Brunswick Co., VA.² He died on 14 Oct 1808 in Iredell County, N.C..² John is thought to be a descendant of the immigrant John Barker I b. 1588, d. 1652, a sea captain of the ship Abraham, who was one of the first settlers in Surrey Co, VA.

John BARKER and Elizabeth GILLIAM were married about 1743 in Surry Co., VA.² Elizabeth GILLIAM¹ was born about 172 in Surry Co., VA.² John BARKER and Elizabeth GILLIAM had the following children:
