Edward Fredrick Hutton [Parents] [image] was born 1 on 23 Apr 1920 in Portsea, Hampshire. He died on 20 May 1981 in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. Edward married Christine Helena Coleman on 2 Aug 1945 in Lane End, Buckinghamshire.

He spent much of his early years in an orphonage in Portsmouth as his mother was unable to look after him properly as his father was in the Royal Navy. He left school at 13 and entered service at a local rectory and then worked as a printing machine operator.
In 1936 he enlisted into the RAF and later became a sergent on ground services. He served during world war 2 initially in England, and later in Eygpt, Aden and Iran. He was there to build aircraft for the Russian military which were sent from the USA as kits. He later was involved with the use of the flight simulators for training pilots on the ground, and transported and operated these from many air bases in England.
In 1951 he came out of the RAF and worked at Whiteheads torpedo factory making parts for this weapon. He later moved to the Admiralty Gunnery establishment at Portland where he ran the instrument and standards laboritory before being promoted to draughtsman.
He had to retire very early in 1960 due to ill health, and moved to Buckinghamshire to live in and around High Wycombe.

Christine Helena Coleman [Parents] was born on 18 Oct 1920 in Lane End, Buckinghamshire. She died on 31 Jul 1995 in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. Christine married Edward Fredrick Hutton on 2 Aug 1945 in Lane End, Buckinghamshire.

His father died when he was only 9 years old so who brought him up is unknown.
He enlisted in the Royal Navy before the first world war and was present at the battle of Jutland. His son Edward always told me that his hair went white as a result of this battle.
Married in 1920 while living at the RN Barracks in Portsmouth to the daughter of a grocer. There were four children born of the marriage, but due to his service abroad, the children were raised mainly in an orphonage. He divorced in about 1930 and later remarried.
He served on a number of ships including HMS Calcutta (1920), HMS Hood 1924/5 when he went around the world on that ships good will tour (see book The Empire Cruise). He was a stoker / engineer.
He continued to serve at Portland during the second world war working as an engine man on the mfv service boats.

Emma Winifred North [Parents] was born in 1898. She married George Edward Hutton on 19 Jul 1919 in Portsea, Hampshire. The marriage ended in divorce.

Walter Hutton [Parents] [image] was born 1 on 10 Oct 1868 in Noar Hill, Newton Valence, Hampshire and was christened in 1869 in Newton Valence, Hampshire. He died in Mar 1906 in Edmonton, London. Walter married Selena Easlick on 3 Aug 1890 in Marylebone.

When son George Edward was born, the family was living at 44 Princess Street, Marylebone. Walter's occupation was a carpenter journeyman where he was hired by the day. By September 1899 we find him living in 18 Chauncey Street, Edmonton during which time his wife Selena died.
He died while loving in Edmonton aged 36 years.

Selena Easlick [Parents] [image] was born 1 on 30 Aug 1861 in Lanlivery, Cornwall and was christened 2 in 1861 in Lostwithiel, Cornwall. She died 3 on 10 Jan 1899 in Edmonton, London. Selena married Walter Hutton on 3 Aug 1890 in Marylebone.

Census 1881 found Selena workind as a domestic servant at 12 James Street, Paddington, London which was a lodging house. The house keeper was Ann Hoar and the other persons staying at this address were civil engineers.
Her surname is incorrectly recorded as Eastleigh.
The original certificate of baptism is photographed for information.
Death certificate shows she was living at 18 Chauncey Street, Edmonton, London.

Census 1851 shows the family lived in the hamlet of Noar Hill, where they remained until census 1881.
Noar Hill is a small group of farms at the summit of a hill - road up to this is Galley Hill. Only one farm building old enough to be over 100 years old. (Marsh Farm)

Burial found in Newton Valence parish register. He died of scarlet fever along with three of his elder brothers, all within a period of 2 weeks.
Benjamin died in the presence of Eliza Coles who also lived in Noar Hill.
