Recent DNA testing of several American Hursts & 3 English Hursts (who
can prove descent from Richard Hurst of Combe, Oxfordshire) showed the following
results:
2 descendants of Absalom Hurst (b 1736 or 1750 depending on whose research you believe) &
1 descendants of Jeremiah Hurst (b 1785) &
1 descendant of John "Mill Creek" Hurst (b 1735) &
2 descendants of William "Brindle Bill" Hurst (b c 1710)
ALL HAD MATCHING DNA which indicates that Absalom, Jeremiah,
"Mill Creek" & "Brindle Bill" were related to one another.
The English Hursts all matched one another BUT there was no match to any
of the American Hursts which seems to prove that the above mentioned American
Hursts were not related to the English Hursts & therefore were not related
to Henry Hurst of Leckhampstead who also descended from Richard.
