In January 2000, we took early retirement, left the Chicago area, and relocated to the Kentucky Dam area in Marshall county, Kentucky. Our address is: Four Bear Creek Drive We're very easy to find, because we are so close to Interstate 24, about two hours west of Nashville, Tennessee and about a half-hour east of Paducah, Kentucky. Perhaps the easiest way to reach us is to take Exit 27 from I-24 and turn right (east) off the exit ramp, taking US 62 toward Kentucky Dam. Before reaching the Dam (about 2 miles), US 62 intersects with US 641. Turn right on US 641, headed south. This will take you through the Kentucky Dam Village State Resort Park. About 5 miles south on US 641, you will reach the intersection with County Route 1422. It is the only intersection marked by a flashing double yellow caution signal. Turn left onto 1422 (heading east toward the lake). Our home is at mile marker 5 (about 1.6 miles on Route 1422) on the right side of the road. At the moment, we are the only double-wide mobile home in Bear Creek Village. The entrance to the Community is just beyond our home, just before the Bear Creek Village sign.
