Had a twin brother named Thomas. They settled at Rohrsburg about 1789. Both
served in the Revolutionary War having enlisted at age 17. They were said to
have been as alike as two peas. They were greatly devoted to each other and
lived together for a long time. John married Ann Miller and they had 12
children. John later removed to Southport, NY while Thomas remained at
Rohrsburg.

Lois A. McIntyre LEMMON
--
Obituary: (1908)
--
Lois A. McIntyre (Lemmon) was born Oct. 20, 1840 in Townsend, Sandusky
County, Ohio where she lived until at the age of 15 [when] she moved with her
parents to Williams County, Ohio. She died (of "consumption") at her home
near Jamestown, IN, February 17, 1908 aged 67 years, 3 months, and 27 days.
In October 1660 she was married to W.H. Lemmon of Clyde, Ohio. To this union
were born nine children, one of whom, a son, died at the age of five years.
She leaves a husband, three sons, five daughters, two sisters, twenty
grandchildren and friends to mourn her death.
While her children realize that they have lost their best earthly friend,
yet they knew her faith in God and realize that all is well.
She was a friend to everybody and loved nothing better than to do deeds of
love and kindness for those in need. Those who knew her best, loved her most.
Lois's sister, Sarah L. McIntyre, was married to Matthew Lemmon.
