Kelting, daughter of John Kelting and Anna Grevey, at Downer, Clay County, Minnesota.4,10 In 1920 Ernest John Lamb had a job as census taker for his district.3 In 1920 Ernest was a laborer and ran a boarding house.3 He and Bertha M. Kelting appeared on the census of 1920 at their rented home, Elkton Township, Clay County, Minnesota. They were enumerated with six boarders.11 Ernest was manager of Downer elevator for 10 years and of Lisbon elevator for 15 years.4 Ernest John Lamb and Bertha M. Kelting had no children.4 He died on 25 June 1954 at age 59.4 He was also reported to have died on 28 June 1954 at Lisbon.9

     David Alexander Lamb Jr. was born on 21 October 1899 at Minnesota.1,2,3,4 He was the son of David Alexander Lamb and Elizabeth Mann.1 He appeared on the census with David Alexander Lamb and Elizabeth Mann on 28 June 1900 at farm, Elkton Township, Clay County, Minnesota.5 He appeared on the census with David Alexander Lamb in 1910 at Elkton Township, Clay County, Minnesota.6 He was literate as of 1910.4 David was attending school in 1910.4 He and David Alexander Lamb appeared on the census of 15 January 1920 at Elkton Township, Clay County, Minnesota. They owned their farm with a mortgage.3 On 15 January 1920 David was a laborer on the home farm.3 He married Flora Jolly, daughter of (?) Jolly and Catherine Pender, on 6 November 1924 at Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota. Rev. Hall officiated.2,7 David and Flora Jolly farmed at near Downer, Clay County, Minnesota.8 David Alexander Lamb Jr. was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Downer, Clay County, Minnesota.2 He died on 17 August 1947 at St. Ansgar Hospital, Moorhead, Clay County, Minnesota, at age 47. He and his sons Bradley and David had been hauling a pig to Barnesville when he lost his balance, fell from the running board of the truck, and hit his head. He never regained consciousness.2,9
      On 18 August 1947 his obituary was "David A. Lamb, jr., 47, farmer near Downer, Minn ., and lifelong resident of the area, died Sunday in a Moorhead hospital, 24 hours after he had been injured in a fall from a truck near his home Saturday.
     "Mr. Lamb suffered a fractured skull when he fell from the running board of his pickup truck, driven by his son, Bradley, as they were en route to Barnesville, Minn.
     "Born at Downer, Oct. 21, 1899, he attended school there and married Flora Jolly of Glyndon, Minn. They had farmed near Downer since.
     "He leaves Mrs. Lamb; three sons, Richard, 17; Bradley, 15, and David, 13; his father, DAvid A., sr., Downer; a brother, E. J. Lamb, Lisbon, N.D., and three sisters, Mrs. Lamont Henry, Downer; Mrs. Alfred Skelton, Winnipeg, and Mrs. Otto Vierth, Redwood City, Calif.
     "Funeral arrangements await word from the sister in California. The body is at A. J. Wright and Sons funeral home and will be taken to Grins funeral home, Barnesville.".10 He was buried on 22 August 1947 at Barnesville Cemetery, Barnesville, Clay County, Minnesota.2,11,12
