Taken together the adjacent documents indicate that on 29 Dec 1814
     Josiah Hoskinson and William Parent
  bound themselves into a surety bond of 50 pounds regarding the marriage of
     Josiah Hoskinson  and
   Mrs. Alcey Curtsinger, widow
 and that they were married on 1 Jan 1815 by John Pirth

The record is a handwritten transcription by a Clerk of the Court of
 an original marriage bounds.


 ""  Know all men by these presents that we Josiah Hoskinson and William Parent
 are held and firmly bound with the commonwealth of Kentucky in the sum of
 Fifty pounds current money. To the payment of which will and truly to be made.
 We bind our selves our heirs _(etc.)_ jointly severally firmly by these presents
 sealed with our seals and dated this 29th day of December 1814.
 The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas this is a marriage
 shortly intended between the above bound Josiah Hoskinson & Alcey Curtsinger
 widow for which a license has issued.
 Now if their be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage then the above
 obligations to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
