Robert Taylor was born abt. 1874 in Alloa. Scotland. His occupation was a glassblower. He was a Private for the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders or Highland Light Infantry in Scotland. He was a bag piper in the army,front lines men. He served in the army during World War One and he went overseas to France where he died in action. This CWGW Debt of Honour is possibly him, but unconfirmed.

Robert Taylor married Jean Dodds who was also born in Scotland before 1893 and died in Ontario, Canada. They had the following 5 children;

1. James Dodds TAYLOR Was born on December 21, 1910. In Alloa. Scotland. He worked as a Master Electrician for Bennett & Right Construction. He died on January 23, 1960. In Toronto Ontario, Canada and is buried at St. James Cemetery,Ont. | Cemetery Pic | He married Frances HORRELL about 1930 in Canada. And remarried later to Irene Mary LEMIEUX born in 1924. (Irene was previously married to __BAKER and had a daughter Catherine who married __DeSILVA and had a child, Adrien DeSILVA.)
