702. Captain Abraham Hoxie²⁷¹ was born on 4 Sep 1808 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. He died on 30 Dec 1887 in Sandwich, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Son of Barnabas Hoxie and Jane (Hoxie) Hoxie. Abraham was a captain on a whaling ship, and took part in the 1849 gold rush in California. He bought an old type box house known as old "Hoxie House" in Massachusetts. It was built in 1637 by the local pastor, Rev. Smith.

Captain Abraham Hoxie and Charlotte Pinkham were married before 1838. Charlotte Pinkham (daughter of Henry Pinkham and Catherine Jenks) died Y. Captain Abraham Hoxie and Charlotte Pinkham had the following children:
