Text: Hi everyone: Just wanted to tell you about the phone call I received this evening. It was from Rita Ward...Joe's last wife. She lives in a Sr. Citizen complex in Auburn. I had written Barry Ward asking if he had any info re: Joe and he passed my letter on to her. The following is what she
gave me.

Joseph was born June 16, 1901 and passed away Sept. 24, 1974 of cancer. They had been married 31 years.
His marriages were my mother-in-law, Arlene Lucy Graf--1 son--my husband.
Then I have him married again to a Helen...Rita said she thought there was another one besides Arlene and Ruth, but she never delved into that.
Then Joe left the area...he worked for Ivanhoe Mayonnaise...they sent him to Ohio...Ashtabula. Married Ruth ? Rita didn't know her last name...knew she was Jewish.
Had 3 children: Susan died at 7 years old, a boy died at 15 years, and Joanne born in 1930. Joanne married ? Kohlne. They had: Sara, Tim, Ted, and Kathy. Joanne's husband has passed away...Rita has lost contact; doesn't know if she remarried.
Looking at my records, I believe the Marie that I have him married to - abt. 1943 is probably Rita. My info came from the Auburn City Directories which could have her name wrong, or perhaps her name is Marie. They were married 31 years, so that would make their marriage date 1943. They had no children.
There were many more questions I should have asked the lady, however, I didn't feel quite comfortable doing so. She is very elderly and I was so grateful that she called I couldn't bring myself to impose any more than I had.

Text: 1. Under William Ward (#1) - the comparison of Whitsuntide to Easter is only partially correct. In a secular outlook they are similar. Of course, in religious terms, Easter is the anniversary of the Rising of Jesus while Whitsuntide is the anniversary of the coming of the Holy Ghost to the
disciples.
It just stood out to me as totally wrong at first reading, so thought you might want to put that little clarification in.

City and is buried at Fort Hill. From Fort Hill Records
6. Claude Masten Ward (#14) was born 11 Aug 1881 from Social Security Death

That's as far as I got tonight. I'll see if I can get a little farther on comparisons tomorrow. I'm putting in a lot of details that I didn't have, so kind of slow going.

1. George H Ward (#36) Children are not clear from this report. Joseph & Walter Henderson are step-sons. These are Fannie's children by a previous marriage. Also Henderson is not her maiden name- but that of the previous marriage. I don't know her maiden name. Barry and George (Jr) are children born of George and Mary.
2. John McManus (#99) born 14 Sep 1911 SSDI.
3. Eugene McManus (#100) born 18 Oct 1912, SSDI.
4. Stanley McManus (#101) born 3 Nov 1914, SSDI.
5. Mildred (Stewart) Greene (#41) died 3 Apr 1954. Frankdied 19 Dec 1984.
