ADMINISTRATORS

Thankyou for visiting this page.

The duties of an administrator are quite simple. It would be your responsibility to keep the Society, and through the Society, your chosen page, up to date with events relative to the persons belonging to that page.

Your christian name would be inserted at the top and bottom of the page which will be hyperlinked to your email address. Anyone making an enquiry, reporting an amendment, or update, would automatically be directed to you and the Society at the same time. The Society would take no action on the information received for a period of thirty days, which should give you sufficient time to verify the information received. You then notify the Society of the alterations to be made to the webpage, and the webmaster will update the page at the earliest opportunity.

The basic idea of a single 'Associated Name' page, is that you are able to record all descendants of the couple without ever losing sight of who the ancestors were. If we changed page each time a daughter married, as we used to do, it is very easy to move through different pages and to forget who belonged where. It became very confusing. With a single page, it is possible to print it out and have the whole of that branch in chronological order. It can also give you an insight to your ancestors life, their happy times, and times of sorrow.

If you wish to proceed, simply send an email stating the name of the page you wish to administor
