Dorothy A. Loew, 63, of Hopewell Township, died at South Jersey Extended Care, Bridgeton, on Wednesday morning, Oct. 29. 2008. She had been in failing health for the past year and a half.
The wife of Charles H. Loew, she was born in Cedarville and was the daughter of the late John H. G. Woodlin, Jr. and Madeline E. Baker Woodlin. She had been a resident of Hopewell Township for the past 24 years and prior to that had lived in Cedarville.
Prior to her retirement she had been employed with Ven-Mar Manufacturing Co. in Millville and also with the former Mark Manufacturing Co. of Bridgeton.
Dorothy was a member of West Park United Methodist Church, the church choir, United Methodist Women and had been the chairperson of the health & welfare committee of the church.
A graduate of Bridgeton High School, Class of 1964, Mr. & Mrs. Loew would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in January of 2009.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry G. Woodlin.
Funeral services will be held in West Park United Methodist Church, 625 Shiloh Pike, Hopewell Township, on Friday morning, Oct. 31, at 11:00 O’clock. Burial will be in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton. A viewing will be held at the church on Friday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 O’clock. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
