For his 2nd wife the father [John]married Margaret Wells who lived in Middle Smithfield townshipand they had: Martha and Mary who died young Frank P., Sarah,wife of Christ Krantz, AAron, Susana w ife of Thomas Batchelor,Armida wife of Horace CCortright, George, Hester, and Emma.Paternal grandparents of Phillip B. were Thomas and Marth(Quick) Clark, the former a native of NJ, later of Pike Co.[Their] children: Rev. Wolliam of bucks County who was twicwmarried--first to Susanna Daly and second to Maria Cortright.[Children]: John, Mary the wife of William Smith, Margaretunmarried, Sara h the wife of Johnson Wells, and Catherine whodied young. Maternal grandparents Capt. John and Polly (VanWhy)Howe, the former a native of England, later of Monroe county,Capt. Howe served in the War of 1812.
