Richard's Line
Collection of Genealogy Data
We have included a collection of birth and death dates, obituaries,
family reunions, noteworthy incidents that were part of Pearl Howe's life. It covers
events that occurred in and around the towns between New Brunswick Ca. To Danforth Me,
from about 1860 to 1955. It was compiled by Richard and Ivonne Howe, from a group of 4
books 'Agriculture of Maine', that were used as scrap book and diary.

Charles Henry Howe (1893-1979)
Ethel Luetta Fossett (1890-1969)
Introduction
My Grandfather, Charles Henry Howe of Portland Maine, was a
stumbling block for a while in finding out who my ancestors are, because he was born a
Boone but raised a Howe, and he kept it a secret throughout his life. He was raised from
an early age by Thomas (1860-1953) and Ida Howe, and took on the Howe name. Thomas
and Ida had one child, Pearl Howe.
At best guess, Pearl Howe maybe with Ida's help, kept this scrap
book of handwritten notes of birth and death dates, newspaper clippings of obituaries, and
other events of importance to them. They use 4 Volumes of 'Agriculture of Maine' for the
scrap books.
The book was hard to make out in some parts, and we noticed some
errors in spelling of names and but we tried to accurately type in all of the information.
We also noticed some of obituaries were in the book more than once, by a different source.
We compiled an index chart that might help research the data from the 4 books.
(NOTE). I numbered the pages using the format of (1-2), referring
to Volume 1, page 2. The Handwritten notes are in Parentheses.
