RESEARCH LINKS

These are just a few links that I threw together.  Were talking about the WEB so listing them ALL is not realistic, in fact, it can be downright confusing.   I do hope this is a convenient  enough mix and if not, go see what someone else has found.

You may want to write down the What, Where, When, How and so forth when researching on the Web.  As I have already said this can very confusing and you'll eventually say something akin to;  "Where did I find that?" if a person doesn't have at least some sort of organization set up.   So DOCUMENT where you go and what you find!

There are many Genealogy Sites on the Web, and once you've surfed a few you'll soon find that what is really important are the resources they point to.   Some have been out there longer than others but this doesn't mean they are better.  The ideas they express are generally very similar except, of course, for the families they showcase.  Lots of books and other resources are available but once a person gets started they can usually learn just as much by doing as they can by reading someone's book on how to.  So save your money for the fee's related to official documents and learn by doing.

Good Luck and God Bless you in your search.
