Thomas Horsch and Alvina Andre

Thomas Horsch and Alvina Andre lived in the area of the former Duchy of Berg in what is now North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Thomas Horsch was born in Hückeswagen in 1827. Thomas and Alvina were married in Germany and emmigrated to America in 1857, where they settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Thomas had been working as a baker since he was 16 years old, and he started his own bakery in Milwaukee two years after he got married.
