Henry Horsch was born in Bavaria, Germany around 1819. Barbara was born in Bavaria, Germany around 1824. They both came to America, and were married around 1850. They also settled in Guttenberg, Iowa. Barbara died between 1870 and 1880. Henry married Louise Strankman, who had also been married before.

Jacob and Henry may have been related, but no proof has been found at this time.
