Michael Horsch and Susanna Blaeser
Michael Horsch was born in Prussia about 1814. He married Susanna Blaeser, and they raised a family in Mertesdorf near Trier. In 1873, Michael travelled to Liverpool, England with his daughters, and they boarded the ship Calabria. They sailed to New York City, where they arrived on November 12, 1873. There is no record of Susanna Blaeser traveling with them, and she may have died before the family left Germany. The 1880 census shows Michael Horsch living with his daughter Anna Margaret, and Michael is listed as a widower.
Casper Horsch also immigrated with Michael Horsch and his daughters. In the 1880 census, Casper is shown living with John and Mary Troesch, and his relationship is listed as a cousin. Michael and Susanna's family is shown below. I have not yet added them to the GEDCOM data.
