Ruby Lena Lee Berry MEDINA. Services for Mrs. Ruby Berry, 86, will be today at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church with Rev. Richard Clark and Rev. Don Thrasher officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Morris Chapel, Tennessee with Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Berry died Monday afternoon, February 10, 1997, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Mrs. Berry was the daughter of the late Robert Edward and Spicie Tillman Lee and was born and educated in the Michie Community of McNairy County. She was married to William Robert Berry, December 11, 1925 and they made their home in the Hooker's Bend Community of Hardin County, where they were engaged in farming and store operation. She was an active member in church and community work there until the death of her husband in 1967. She had made her home for the last twenty years with her daughter in Medina. Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ruth Thomison of Medina; a granddaughter, Patricia Deaton and husband Larry of Medina; a grandson, John H. Thomison and wife Rita of Smithville, Arkansas and two great-grandchildren, Lindsay and John Hollis Thomison, both of Smithville, Arkansas. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Hollis Thomison, Sr., six brothers, Arthur, Charlie, Shelley, Marvin, Hayse, and Fred Lee and two sisters, Nettie Burks and Erma Wood. Pallbearers will be Richard Shelley, Phil Lee, Charles Lee, Robert Lee, Farris Thomison, James Harold Thomason, Allen Bradbury and Johnny Boswell. Honorary pallbearers will be John Thomison and Larry Deaton. The family has requested that any memorials be directed to the Lebanon United Methodist Church, Michie, Tennessee or Medina First United Methodist Church. Replogle-Lawrence Funeral Home |
