Lorene Harvey Holland - Wednesday, August 19, 1998

   Services for Lorene Harvey Holland, 87, will be held at 10:00 am. Saturday from the Bemis United Methodist Church with Reverend Homer Johns and Dr. Bentley Rawdon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Savannah Cemetery with committal services being conducted at 12:30 p.m.  George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

   Mrs. Holland died Wednesday afternoon at the West Tennessee Skilled Nursing Center.

   A Hardin County native, she was the daughter of the late W. A. and Maude Brooks Harvey.  She was a seamstress for Jackson Madison County Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Holland had been a member of the Bemis United Methodist Church for fifty five years, where she was a member of the Truth Seekers Sunday School class and the Wesleyan Guild.  She was also a member of the South Side Garden Club, being noted for her beautiful African Violets, beautiful tatting, and baby pillows.

   Mrs. Holland was preceded in death by her husband, Doss Holland and by a son, Reverend Harvey Dean Holland.

   Survivors include two sisters, Willie Myrtle Stanfill of Jackson and Lucille Seay of
