Mrs. Joyce Hughes Scotts Hill - Mrs. Joyce Ivey Hughes, 32, wife of Air Force Sergeant Norman C. Hughes, Jr. died early today at the Blytheville, Arkansas Air Force base hospital where she underwent surgery Thursday. She had been in ill health for some time. Mrs. Hughes was born and reared near Scotts Hill and attended Scotts Hill High School. Tentative arrangements are for 2 PM Tuesday at the Peace Chapel Methodist Church near Scotts Hill with the Rev. Jayhu McCorkle and Coy Johnson officiating. Burial is to be in the church cemetery with Scotts Hill Funeral Home in charge. Surviving besides her husband are, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bonny Ivey of Decaturville; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Pratt of Decaturville; a son Norman C. Hughes III and two daughters, Jacklyn Suzette Hughes and Kristy Lynn Hughes, all of Blytheville. The body will be at the funeral home until services. The Jackson Sun, Monday, December 8, 1969 |
