William Harvey Franks was born November 11, 1829 in Kentucky. He enlisted in the Civil War July 16, 1862, and died March 23, 1865 on The Steamer General Buell on his way to Louisville during the war. He married Nancy Ann Webster January 24, 1848 in Boone County, Kentucky, daughter of William Webster and Virginia Beach. She was born 1827 in Kentucky. After William Harvey's death, Nancy Ann married Greenville Satterfield. She died May 01, 1878 in Crawford County, Indiana and is buried in Mt. Sterling Cemetery, Crawford County, Indiana.
