Stafford Scott Wootten |
| My maternal grandfather was Stafford Scott Wootten. Born 5/22/1913 in Hampton, he was the fourth child and oldest son of Stafford Bailey Wootten and Lavinia Antoinette Scott Wootten. The First Presbyterian Church of Hampton occupies the spot where the Wootten family home stood. Poopaw used to tell people that he was born in the parking lot. |
