Timelines
for Holderfield/Holyfield folks that I had to get organized in some fashion
so that I would not have to keep sifting through my paper notes....you
may have seen all this stuff before, but there may be one little item that
could be of use to you. These pages include misspellings of Holderfield/Holyfield
that are in the census indexes for NC. If I get more data,
I will add it. The first three
pages are for North Carolina. The fourth page is for other states.
That fourth one is the one with the least information since our line came
from NC and I started collecting everything I could find for that state.
It was too much for one page, so just follow the links from one page to
the next or use the links given here:

The Name Game This page repeats
some of the things on the miscellaneous facts pages, but I wrote it to
help people see that the name could have originally been Holderfield....at
least the line that lived early in Wake/Johnston/Orange counties NC.
When I say our name, many people mistake it for Holyfield.
