Ralph Holyfield Sells Bacon to Wake County NC during the Revolution

This seems to be a chit for 19 pounds of bacon purchased from Ralph Holyfield by Thomas Wootten, who, it seems, was a commissioner for Wake County NC.  Perhaps this bacon was to feed troops as the date on the chit was 3 Ap 1781.  The Revolution didn't end until 1783.  There was much fighting going on in the Carolinas in 1780-81.  Refer to this site:

On the back of the chit is information that looks as though the money was paid to Ralph on 20 April 1781.
 

I colorized the chit in an attempt to make it more readable.

Ken verifies that this was for provisions for the military.
