THINNES-HOLDEN
Edgar William Holden, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Holden of South Eighth
street, and Miss Anna Thinnes of Greenleaf, Kansas, were married at 2 o'clock
Tuesday afternoon at the parsonage of the Central Presbyterian Church, the Rev.
L.O. Richmond officiating. There were no attendants. Mr. Holden, who was
formerly a member of the editorial staff of the Star, has been in Greenleaf for
several years, and he and Miss Thinnes have been engaged for some time but no
date had been set for the wedding. When Mr. Holden was called home by the
serious illness of his mother they decided to come to Terre Haute and be
married. They will not return to Greenleaf, but will remain until Mrs. Holden is
better.--The Terre Haute Star. Miss Anna Thinnes, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
M. Thinnes, is one of the finest young ladies in Greenleaf and has a host of
friends who wish her well. Mr. Holden has proven during his stay in Greenleaf
that he is a very worthy young man and has the hearty congratulations and best
wishes of the public. We are glad to know that they will continue to make
Greenleaf their home.
