Zion Cemetery located in Wainfleet Township, Welland County, Ontario, Canada is the burial place of the John Thomas Barwell and Martha (Pratt) Barwell family. John Thomas Barwell emigrated to Ontario, Canada from Oundle, Northamptonshire, England leaving his wife, Martha, and his first child, Eliza, back at home in England. He sent for his family and they travelled to Buffalo, Erie County, New York where John and Martha had there second children Joseph, born March 1874 in Buffalo, NY before making their way back to Canada.
St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and that is where we believe Barbara (Shirm/Vogel) Diemert, the wife of Frederick Diemert is buried. The Diemert Family emigrated from Alsace-Lorraine, Germany sometime between 1902 and 1904. We have yet to narrow down the dates as it varies in the census records. They have yet to be found in the passenger lists.
