NOW CALLED "OLD METHODIST CHURCH CEMETERY 1890-1927

The following cemetery possibly has a missing generation of the RAWDING Family that we have been looking for!  There are two transcriptions of this Pioneer Cemetery that have conflicting dates.  As you will see with the pictures here and notes from Denton, there certainly are questions as to the dates of birth and death for Herbert RAWDING.

Also, please note the changes recently made to this stone here.  Well meaning people can make disasterous decisions when trying to update or conserve stones.

The question is:  Could this Herbert RAWDING (born 1745 -{d. age 73 in 1818} or born 1766-{d. age 73 in 1839}) be the earliest RAWDING Ancestor for us in Nova Scotia that is documented?  After the changes made to the cemetery, we may never know.  We still are searching for that early LOYALIST RAWDING -this might have been him!!
