HOHNEKE (HONEKE) (HOHNKE)

Friederick HOHNKE (HOHNEKE) immigrated to the United States from Prussia, Germany in 1873 with his wife and children. They went to Iowa and not long after Homesteaded in Nebraska. Their first couple of years on the Homestead were very difficult as they had a locust plague and bad weather but they endured and with hard labor created a farm rich with orchards and produce.
Friederick HOHNEKE's three sons, William, August, and John Frederick "Fred" went their separate ways. Bob is descended from August HOHNEKE. We have found many new cousins that are William's and Fred's descendants as well as our August's in recent years thanks to the internet and hope to find many more cousins through this website.
