George William WILDER = Ellen BRAY

Born/Baptized 11 October 1840, Welford cum Wickham, Berkshire.
Married about 1865.

I have searched the register indexes diligently for this man's birth, marriage and death, but so far without success. Variants considered have include WYLDER, WILDE, WILD, and WHILDER.

I have also been unable to locate him in the 1861 census. His granddaughter Ivy claims that "...he was run out of Berkshire for poaching". The things these young lads get up to...

Found living with a lady in 1891, presumably not his wife who was reputed to have died some years earlier. Ivy (his Granddaughter) claims that he sired a son by yet another live-in lady in her thirties when he was 82.
