Dear Ms. Heal,

Your email  to the Takeley website has reached me because I am the Hon. Secretary of the Takeley Local History Society.  I am sorry that it has taken so long to reply but it is very good to make contact with you and thank you for that.

Yes, please do link your Takeley/Hockley web page to the Takeley History page on the site.  We very much hope to have a specific T. Local History Society web  page up in due course - but we're not sure when this will be.  We'll keep you in touch with that.   In the meantime I'll ask among our members and find out if we can come up with any information about William Hockley we are quite a new Society (about four years old) so we have a lot of work still to do.  If there is anything you would like to ask please do so.  Incidentally, quite a few of the families named in your entries are still with us.

 Regards, Marilyn Sayers

You may like to know that Holy Trinity Church in Takeley now has its own website and have put some of their registers on it for visitors to download.
