Chapman Saunders, Ph.D. p. 151-154; Savage says that Thomas Lamb(e),
Sr. came
from England in 1630 in the Winthrop fleet, bringing with him his
wife,
Elizabeth, and two sons, Thomas, Jr. and John., and that another
son, Samuel,
was baptized at Dorchester the following October. John is said to
have been
born on Apr. 20, 1628 at Barnardiston, Suffolk, England, so
presumably they
came from there. However, Banks says that perhaps they came from Stowe
Langtoft, co. Suffolk. Thomas, Sr. was a merchant, and was in
Roxbury, Mass. in
1630.
