15, 2000 OWENS-VILLE — Harry J. Stone, 76, died Thursday Aug.
31, 2000, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, of complications of Alzheimer’s disease.
He retired in 1997 as senior vice president and director of the Motion
Picture Association of America in Rio de Janeiro. He was a World War II
veteran, serving with the 10th Mountain Troops in Italy. He was a 1942
graduate of Owensville High School and attended Northwestern University
and Georgetown University, where he received diplomatic training. Surviving
are his wife, Lucia; a brother, Dr. John J. of Indianapolis; and
nieces and nephews. Services and burial were in Rio de Janeiro.
