Know all whom this presents may concern, that I, Jesse Oates of the State of Kentucky and County of Muhlenberg, for and in consideration of the natural love, and affection which I bear to my son , Jethro Oates of the county and State aforesaid, and for other good causes hath given, and by these presents do give, and convey unto the said Jethro Oates, a certain negro boy named Thomas and now about seventeen years old----? also one negro girl named Abby about ten years old to have and to hold forever with the ---? or entire possession, use, and profit of the same from and after the date hereof in testimony whereof I have hereunto wig? of  28th day of January, 1805.

Feb. 28th day 1806
Know all men by these presents that I, Jesse Oates of Muhlenberg Co. and State of Kentucky, in consideration of the natural love and affection unto my beloved son William Oates, and other good causes, hereunto and by these presents do give, grant, and confirm unto the said William Oates and his heirs forever, one negro boy by the name of  Owen, seventeen years of age,
and a negro girl by the name of Zelpha, thirteen years of age, to have and to hold the said negros and enjoy all and singular the said negros forever and the said Jesse Oates do bind myself, my heirs and also give forever or any other person or persons laying any claim, or claims thereon and I, the said Jesse Oates do put the said William Oates in full possession by delivery of the above named negros at the time of the sealing and the delivery of these presents as witness my hand and seal this 22nd day of
Febuary 1806.
