Humphries, Absolem (or Absolom) born August 1760. While residing in
Chester
County, South Carolina, Absolem enlisted in 1780, and again in 1781
while living
in Fairfield County, South Carolina. After the Revolution he continued
to live
in South Carolina for about 12 years. then moved to Trigg County, Kentucky.
His
pension was allowed there (Trigg Co.) May 13, 1833.
Absolem married March 31, 1791 in South Carolina to Barthena, daughter
of Jesse
Wall. She was born March 23, 1776. Barthena was allowed pension on
April 8, 1848
while residing in Trigg County, Kentucky.

In 1844 Elizabeth Young made affidavit in Trigg County, Kentucky that
she was
born in February, 1791 and was the daughter of Thomas Humphries; who
was a
brother of Absalom.
