Thomas Hanks A bill of sale June 13, 1801
State of Tennessee, Davidson County

Know all men by these presents that John Hanks Sr. doth sell and deliver a certain Dark chesnut Sorrel Stud Horse four years old & the ______? to my son Thomas Hanks to be his
Right and property to bargain and sell to any person or persons whatsoever he pleases, and I warrant & ______? all persons to have any right Title or Claim to this said stud horse.
In witness my hand & Seal this 14th day of July, 1800.

The execution of which Bill of Sale as above recited was on court held for the County of Davidson April Session 1801 acknowledged by the said John Hanks Senr. to be his act & deed
for the uses & purposes therein contained.

Thomas Hanks his bill of Sale from John Hanks Senr.

Know all men by these presents that I, John Hanks, Senr. of the State of Tennessee, Davidson County, that I do bargain, Sell unto Thomas Hanks of said State and county one small bay
horse, four cows and calves, one two-year old steer, three feather beds and furnitures, three pewter dishes, Twelve pewter plates, One Dutch oven, One Title for which property, I have
received from Thomas Hanks one hundred dollars, which property above mentioned I Will warrant and Defend any person or persons having any lawful right or claim against the said
property, as witness my hand and Seal this 26th day of August, 1803.
