Annette Outlaw Allen, 87, of Paducah, Ky., died at 8:45 a.m.
on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah. She
owned and operated Allen Sewing Machine Store in Paducah from 1945 to 1976.
She assisted in her daughter’s business, Price’s BBQ, from 1974 to 1998.
She was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. She was a charter
member and Sunday School teacher at Concord United Methodist Church in
Paducah. She is survived by one daughter, Alidia Ann Allen Peck of Gilbertsville;
one son, Boyce Eugene Allen of Paducah; four grandchildren, Sean Allen
Peck of Manassas, Va., Anthony Neal Peck of Atlanta, Ga., Brandon Eugene
Allen of West Paducah, and Shera Ann Allen of Paducah; two nephews, E.
P. Bloomfield and William F. Beyer, both of Paducah; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex Howard and Effie Reed Outlaw;
her husband, Clarence E. (C. E. ) Allen; two sisters, Lucille Outlaw Beyer
Turner and Mary Howard Outlaw Price; and three brothers, Alton Outlaw,
Edward Outlaw and Perry Outlaw. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday,
Sept. 12, 2000 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home in Paducah with the Rev.
Merle Thomas officiating. Burial was in Maplelawn Park Cemetery. Memorial

Paducah, KY 42002.

Allen, 71, of Bellbrook, died Friday in Kettering Convalescent
Center. Mr. Allen was born Dec. 15, 1928, at Midland, a son of the late
Marion and Anna Maxfield Allen. He was a retired dispatcher for Ohio Bell
Telephone, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Lions
Club, and a Baptist. Surviving are his wife, Norma Jean Farris Allen; three
sons, Steven Richard Allen, David W. Allen, and Luke Farris, all of Ohio;
a daughter, Susie McConnell of Ohio; a brother, Gerald Allen of Ohio; a
sister, Katherine Williams of Marysville; and six grandchildren. The funeral
will be held at 2 p.m. today at Salyersville Funeral Home at Salyersville,
Ky., by Eskanovah Jackson. Burial will be in Gil Williams Cemetery at Right
Middle Fork, Salyersville, Ky., with military graveside rites by Salyersville
Chapter 15 of Disabled American Veterans. Friends may call after 9 a.m.
today at the funeral home.
