Administrator-  Lee Johnson

 Co-Administrator- Sherrie Boone

Pedigree Policy: Each participant has been asked to submit his own pedigree and all effort is being made to present the pedigrees as received. As one would expect, this administrator will not alter any pedigree. However, I may add notes or comments (before, within or after a pedigree chart) in parenthesis and signed, i.e. (“HJ”). Whether short or long, famous or not, each pedigree is of equal importance in trying to solve the problems of genealogical research where records have been lost or have not existed.

The three participants, 39430, 54965, & 108229 whose pedigrees are shown below, match perfectly at the twelve marker level! However their pedigrees do not show a common link! Participants 39430 & 108229 also show an exact match at the 37 marker level. (LJ)

Additional info:

Through original Quaker documents and Isle of Wight Co. VA Deeds, Wills and Administrations, and Marriages of Isle of Wight VA records, I can trace my tree with certainty to Robert Johnson, b 1696. The rest comes from the book: The Johnsons and Johnstons of Corrowough in Isle of Wight Co. VA Vol. I, Robert Johnson, Planter, His Ancestry and Descendants, by Hugh Buckner Johnston and Eddis Johnson. It has been suggested, notably by descendant Stacey Penman, that two Robert Johnsons may have been combined; she contends that, after Robert who was born in 1643, there was another Robert, born 1666; and that he is father to Robert Johnson of 1696. Although this has been averred elsewhere, it has not yet been confirmed by original sources. According to the above mentioned text, Robert Johnson, Planter, is the only Johnson of the colonial period known to have claimed John the Planter as his ancestor.
