Organization:  Organized with eight companies in early 1864.  Included in the surrender of General Joseph E. Johnston at Durham Station Orange County North Carolina on April 26, 1965

John enlist 1861 in Company F of the 29th Georgia Battalion Cavalry.

John was shot August 1864 in the right leg, which led to the amputation.  He served until the surrender of  the southern confederacy in April of 1865.
