Curtis, or as he was also known, O.C., Webb was born on August 22, 1882.  He grew up in Monroe County, in the town of Amory, a prosperous little railroad town.  He had a number of older brothers and sisters and went to Amory Public Schools.  

He did not marry until he was 36 years old, when he married Marcie Sanders, who was ten or eleven years his younger.  By that time he probably already had opened up the Webb Store on Main Street in Amory.  It was a dry goods store and was quite successful.  His sister Mittie helped at the store and it was only about two or three blocks to his mother's home.  At some point, he bought a nice large home that still stands in downtown Amory.  

O.C. and Marcie never had any children.  The census found them in 1930 doing very well for themselves:

O.C. passed away at some point after 1956 and was buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Amory.  I hope to find more about him soon.
