Federal Census

The Federal Government has conducted a census every ten years since 1790. From 1790 through 1840 the census listed the name of the head of the house. The next figures recorded by age catagory were the total amount of males and females in the house to include the head. Since 1850 the name of each member in the household is listed. Unfortunately, the 1890 Census was destroyed by fire.

My research will give you all this information and a copy of the actual document if you wish.
