Jose Inchaustigue Funeral services for Jose Inchaustigue, 60, who died yesterday at home, 2307 Twelfth street, were held yesterday at noon at his home. Interment was in Rose Hill cemetery. Survivors are the widow and five daughters, Mrs. Graciela Alvarez, Mrs. Petrona Pereira, Miss Adolfa, Violeta and Lydia Inchaustigue.(30 Dec 1933)
Jose Zaldivar Funeral Services for Jose Zaldivar, 63, who died yesterday at a hospital will be announced later. Survivors are his wife, Ana, and two daughters, Caridad Alpizar and Mrs. Dolores Rodriguez.(30 Dec 1933)
Fred B. Hartwell Fred B. Hartwell, 63, of Woodmere, NY., a visitor to Tampa for the last three winters, died early yesterday morning at a hospital. Besides his widow, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. A. H. Beaman, of Woodmere. The body will be taken to Woodmere. (30 Dec 1933)
Albert George Brant Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the Lutz United Brethren Church for Albert George Brant, 48, who died yesterday at his home. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Brant; two sons, John Carl and Paul E. Brant; a daughter, Gertrude M. Brant; three sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Schatzman of Tampa, Mrs. Bertie Schmitz and Mrs. Matilda Louenslager of Columbus, Ohio. The Rev. A. C. Van Saun will officiate. Burial will be in Lutz Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Jack Carr, Frank Newberger, George Hoffman, George Ward, Mr. Baker and Mr. Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be J. R. Denison, W. B. Coats, H. T. Dernin, Tony Reed, J.C. Louis Wohl Funeral Services held for L. Wohl, Tampa Business Man Funeral services for Louis Wohl, 68, Tampa merchant who died early yesterday morning, were held yesterday afternoon at his home, 1037 Ninth Avenue, with Rabbi Adolph Burger conducting the ceremonies. Burial was in the Rodoph Sholom Cemetery. Mr. Wohl died suddenly of a heart attack, surrounded by members of his family. Coming here from New York during the Spanish American war, Mr. Wohl established a mercantile business at Port Tampa and later a wholesale restaurant and hotel supply concern in Ybor City, which he headed until his death. He was a native of Rumania. He is survived by three sons, Joseph, Isidor and Charles Wohl, who were associated with him in business; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Berger and Misses Sarah and Clara Wohl, and two grandchildren, Melvin Berger and Tanya Wohl.(30 Dec 1933)
Barney Rhodes, Tampa Businessman for 40 years, dies Barney Rhodes, 65, president of Rhodes Improvement Co., and former treasurer of Knight and Wall Co., died Tuesday night at his home. He resided at 215 West Mohawk Ave. Mr. Rhodes came to Tampa 40 years ago after completing courses at Rollins College. He was born in Brooksville, and was the son of N. B. Rhodes and Mary A. Taylor, on of the pioneer families of Brooksville. He was first employed here by the American Express Co. After a few years with the accounting department of the Knight and Wall Co. He later became credit manager and treasurer. Mr. Rhodes was retired treasurer of the Knight & Wall Co., trustee of the K & W Employee pension fund, a director in the Knight & Wall Co., the Knight & Wall Holding Co. and the Tampa Paint and Varnish Co. He was president of the Rhodes Improvement Co. In his early days, Mr. Rhodes was interested in sports, and helped in the promotion. In 1916 he volunteered and became a dispatch rider in the AEF. Mr. Rhodes was a member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Mary Lena Rhodes; on sister, Mrs. E. K. Scherer; two nephews, L. C. Misenheimer, D. W. Misenheimer and a niece, Mrs. G. H. Ford, all of Tampa. Funeral Services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from J.L. Reed & Son Chapel with the Rev. Alfred E. Conolly officiating. Interment will be in the Garden of Memories.(29 Jul 1954)
Death Claims Former Tampa Singer, Model Friends in Tampa learned yesterday of the death of Mrs. Marie Brown, 27, wife of Major Charles F. Brown, Jr., at their Maxwell Field, Ala., home last Saturday. Mrs. Brown was a popular resident of Tampa during the time her husband was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base. She left two years ago when the Major returned from duty in Korea. Mrs. Brown was a popular singer and model. She was employed frequently by one of the Tampa stores and was in demand as a singer at church and benefit activites. She also was heard on WFLA, at USO shows and in functions at MacDill. She was a native of New York. She is survived by her husband and a daughter, Patricia, age three.(29 Jul 1954)
