HAGIN, MABRY A.,Born September 19, 1914, passed away peacefully January 24, 2008. He was predeceased by his first wife, Effie Hagin; and son, James Kickliter. He is survived by his wife, Nan Hagin; sons, Jack and Lloyd Kickliter, and Edward, Jimmy and Terry Pitts; daughters, Elizabeth Becker, Alberta Killebrew, Mary Lou Kress and Kathy Snyder; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Arrie Spencer, Vondell Peterson and Betty Anglado. There will be a visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Lewers Funeral Home Chapel. A service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2008, at Lewers Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Ruskin Memorial Cemetery.

BUZBEE, LAWRENCE H., 83, of Ruskin, died Saturday (Aug. 14, 1999) at home. Born in Tampa, he lived here all his life. He was a farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ruskin. Survivors include two sons, Jackson Lee, Valrico, and Alfred H., Ruskin; two daughters, Alyson Williams and Linda Blank, both of Ruskin; two sisters, Nan Hagin, Gulf Hammock, and Lillian Wieczorek, Ruskin; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. SALMON, ISABELLE BUZBEE 97, of Thonotosassa, died Thursday (Oct. 22, 1992) at Humana Hospital-Brandon. She was born in Ruskin. She was a homemaker. BUZBEE, LAWRENCE A. SR. "BOB" 75, of Ruskin, died Saturday (Sept. 20, 2003) at James A. Haley VA Medical Center. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a tugboat captain for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was a member of the American Ex POWs Greater Tampa Bay Chapel. Survivors include his wife, Jewel; two sons, Larry Riley and Lawrence "Bubba" Buzbee Jr.; three daughters, Celeste Buzbee, Cathy Wilson and Annette Amerson; three brothers, Lamar Buzbee, Ralph Buzbee and Alfred "Buddy" Buzbee; a sister, Joyce Crenshaw; and six grandchildren. BUZBEE, JAMES GUY II 80, pioneer and lifelong resident of Gibsonton, Fla., passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2006 to reunite with his wife, Willa Mae Buzbee and brother, Winston Buzbee. Born August 18, 1926, Guy was an avid hunter and fisherman, started the family fish farm, Buzbee Tropical Fish Farm, in 1965, worked at the U.S. Phosphoric Plant in Gibsonton for 27 years. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man. He is survived by a brother, Oliver Perry Buzbee; a son, James Guy Buzbee III; a daughter, Olivia Gayle Ferdinandsen and (Dan); a nephew, James H. Buzbee and (Barbie) and five grandsons, Shawn David Buzbee, James Guy Buzbee IV and (Stephanie), Christopher Wayne Buzbee, Ryan Ellsworth Ferdinandsen, and (Monica) and Robert James Ferdinandsen. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 20, 2006, at First Baptist Church of Gibsonton. McROBERTS, EUGENE ALTON 85, of Ruskin, died Monday (Nov. 13, 2006) at home. He was born in Gulf City and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a commercial fisherman, seafood entrepreneur and founder, chairman and chief executive officer of McRoberts Sales in Ruskin. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corps in California for three years before serving in the Army in the Philippines during World War II. He was past president, Man of the Year and received an honorary lifetime award from the Ruskin Chamber of Commerce. He was past president of the Ruskin Merchants Association, was a groundbreaker for the Ruskin Library and past honorary mayor of Ruskin. He served on the lay advisory board for the hospital and welfare board of Hillsborough County. He was a member, deacon and past Sunday school teacher at Northside Baptist Church in Ruskin. He was also an executive club member of "Friends of Children" for the Florida Baptist Childrens' Homes. He was a member of the Florida Board of Conservation Marine Laboratory. He was past president of the Southeastern Fisheries Association and was the recipient of their "Gene Raffield Humanitarian Award." He was past president of the National Fisheries Institute. Survivors include four daughters, Shirley Wallace, Lois McRoberts, Dottie Pinegar and Sandra Fail; a son, Dick Crosby; a sister, Doris Buzbee; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. VELMA ROY BUZBEE WAUKEENAH - Velma Roy Buzbee, 74, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, in Managua, Nicaragua. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Saturday at Waukeenah United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Burks (and husband Ron) of Baltimore and Debbie Craig (and husband John) of Waukeenah; a son, Michael Buzbee (and wife Sue) of Nicaragua; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest F. Buzbee.

DR. REGINALD WAYNE PITTS
PITTS, Dr. Reginald Wayne, 69, passed away peacefully at home October 21, 2005. He was preceded in death by his parents, John R. and Retha Pitts; brothers, Charles Pitts, Dr. Haman Pitts and John R. Pitts; and grand- daughter, Kelly Mitchell. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Connie Pitts; children, Steven Lee Pitts, Lee Ann Mitchell, Laurie Kelley Knight, Mark Allen Pitts and Jacqueline Susann Kennedy; and 10 grandchildren. Dr. Pitts attended Wimauma High School, Florida State University and National College of Chiropractic. He started practicing in 1959, established Pitts Chiropractic Clinic in 1966, and continued to care for the injured and sick in the Tampa Bay area for 43 years. Dr. Pitts served four times as president of the Hillsborough County Chiropractic Society and was one of the few to serve as president of the Florida Chiropractic Association for two terms. He was an active member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Felix Jimenez, oral surgeon, and Dr. Calvin Douglas, for their extensive dedication, support and compassion.
