Descendants of Joshua Hatcher

Joshua⁵ Hatcher  (John⁴, William Hatcher³ Sr., Joseph² Thatcher, Richard¹) was born October 20, 1759 in Goose Creek, LoudounCo, VA, and died July 29, 1845 in Richland Twp.,BelmontCo, OH.  His burial was at Lloydsville Cemetery.  He married Jane Richcreek November 22, 1777 in Loudoun Co.,Virginia, daughter of Phillip Richcreek and Unknown. 

Notes for Joshua Hatcher:From Westland,OH Monthly Meeting, Quaker: Joshua and Jane,with Children; John, Mahlon, William, Sarah, and Mary, recieved on certificate from Goose Creek, 1799. (There is no mention of Catherine as daughter). Joshua's will (Belmont Co., OH, BK H,p11 signed Mar. 23, 1840, pro Sept 18, 1845) leaves a legecy to the widow of his son John.  She is to have the land until she marries or dies, and then it goes to John's heirs "except Joshua Hatcher, husband of his partner".  The land was located Sec 9 T8 R5, Belmont Co., OH.  The other children in the will: Sarah Hoge, wife of Asael Hoge, son Mahlon Hatcher, dt. Mary Gregg (John).

Joshua re-instated by Fairfax monthly meeting 25-3-1786 after disownment for married out of unity in 1782 received recommended into membership on recommendation of Fairfax monthly meeting which is taken as a certificate. His wife Jane Hatcher & their two child. John & Mahlon received recommended into membership on request requests requested of Joshua & Jane 27-8-1787; Joshua & Jane Hatcher & their 5 small child: John, Mahlon, William, Sarah & Mary granted certificate to Westland monthly meeting, Washington Co. Pa. 30-9-1799 (c.107)
