THE HISTORY OF THE GOOD-HILEMAN FAMILY
As Presented By P.G. Bell In The Book Of The Same Name
This site is built around the 1912 book "The History of the Good-Hileman Family" by P.G. Bell. It is intended as an aid to all GOOD, HILEMAN or other surname researchers.
The original book was written, as many were of that day, from bible inscriptions, church records, family knowledge and remembrances. In most cases documentation was non existent to these early researchers and as such, errors did occur in their writings. While transcribing this material I found obvious errors and typo's, however, in order to present the most accurate portrayal of this book, I left all exactly as printed unless my genealogical program would not accept the obvious error. In those cases I left the field blank.
As the original book was written without a every-name index, I have endeavored to provide one here. Also, I have input the names and critical dates, these too are presented in gedcom form.
