HIGGINBOTHAM - Dolores C. (nee Herbert) of Saddle Brook formerly of
Elmwood Park on November 16, 2006. Devoted mother of Feather Wisniewski and her
husband Phil of Marlton, Melodie Heimer and her husband Andy of Paterson, Wyatt
Higginbotham and his wife Betsy of Berwyn, Pa. and the late Brett Niles
Higginbotham. Loving daughter of the late Burt and Helen Herbert. Dear sister of
Joseph Herbert and his wife Clara of Vienna, Va., Barbara DeLuca and her husband
Peter of Lodi and the late Thomas Herbert and his wife the late Vilma Herbert.
Cherished grandmother of Shawn Higham, Kevin Higham and Bradley Higginbotham.
Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are

Yvonne Higginbotham Booker (ca 1916-2007) NJ
BOOKER, YVONNE HIGGINBOTHAM, 91 - of Voorhees and formerly of Atlantic
City, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at her home. Mrs. Booker retired in 1979
after decades of employment with the Atlantic City Public Schools as Manager of
the Dietary Department. Her family was one of the founding families of St.
Augustine Episcopal Church. Surviving are: two daughters, Charlene Y.
Booker-Moore of Voorhees and Sandra E. Peoples of Cherry Hill; grandchildren,
George Peoples, Sheila Peoples and Allison Moore. A viewing will be held from
10AM until 10:30 AM Friday, March 23, 2007 in the Greenidge Funeral Home.
Graveside services at 11:15AM in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery, Estell
Manor.

Lauren F. Totty Higginbotham (ca1948-2008) NJ
JERSEY CITY-Services for Lauren F. (Totty) Higginbotham, 60, a lifelong resident of Jersey City, were private. She died May 10 in Jersey City. She worked for 30 years as a legal secretary at New York Law School and for New York City property attorneys Lucas Ferrara and Stuart Adler. In 1961 she replaced Patty Duke in the national tour of "The Miracle Worker." She was a member of Actors' Equity. Surviving are her husband, John; and two sisters, Martha Vilandre and Susan Totty. Michalski Funeral Home, Jersey City, is in charge.

Elizabeth Ilene Hare Higginbotham (ca1909-2009) NJ/MI
Elizabeth Ilene Higginbotham Elizabeth Ilene Higginbotham, nee Hare, 100, formerly of Woodbury passed away Saturday, April 18, 2009 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She was the beloved wife of Marcus 3rd, who predeceased her in July 1997. Her brother, William J. also predeceased her in September 2003. Her husband and her father, William J. Hare, Sr., were the owners of Hare Motor Company in Paulsboro. Mrs. Higginbotham, born and raised in Westville, was a graduate of Woodbury High School and the University of Pennsylvania. She was a teacher at West End Memorial Elementary School in Woodbury from 1956 to 1973. Prior to her teaching career she was a social worker in Monmouth and Gloucester Counties and buyer for R.H Macy Company in New York City. In 1961 she served on the New Jersey Committee as a member of the White House Council on Aging. She is survived by son, Marcus of Troy, Michigan and son, Richard of Tampa, Florida, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A third son, William, of Woodbury predeceased her in August 2002. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill. Services will be private and are under the direction of DAVIS-WAGNER FUNERAL HOME of Woodbury. A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date in 2009 in Woodbury for family and friends to celebrate the lives of Elizabeth, Marcus and William.

Frank N. Higginbotham (ca1916-2009) NJ
FRANKFORD TWP. -- Frank N. Higginbotham, 93, died on Thursday, May 28, 2009, at the home he built and loved. Born in Paterson, Frank was raised in West Milford before moving to Frankford Township in 1971. He was a self-employed Master Carpenter before retiring in 1980. A former Director of Recreation in West Milford, Frank was a charter life member of the West Milford Elks. He was also a life member of NRA, a member of AARP, a former member of the Yulan, New York, Rod & Gun Club, a former member of the Greenwood Lake Rescue Squad, and a former member of the West Milford Police Auxiliary. Frank loved golf, hunting and fishing. The son of the late Frank I. and Leona Wolmart Higginbotham, Frank was also predeceased by his second wife, Sue, in 1984; his son, Frank N. Higginbotham III; and his grandson, Lee Higginbotham Jr. He is survived by his third wife, Maria; two sons, Lee and James, both of Connecticut; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his first wife, Ruth; a sister, Vera Jones; one nephew, Stephen; and four stepchildren, Elizabeth, Boris, Kathryn, and Dimitrio. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today at the home of his stepdaughter, Kathryn Jourav, 12 Wisteria Road, Lafayette. Memorial donations may be made to the Blue Ridge Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 232, Branchville, NJ 07826, or the Holy Spirit Church, 102 Route 284, Wantage, NJ 07461. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville.

Charles Bernard Higginbotham (1942-2009) WV/NJ
HIGGINBOTHAM Charles Bernard Higginbotham, 67, of Neptune, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2009 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Ward, W.Va. and has lived in Neptune since 1972. After his service in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, he worked for the Ford Motor Co for 37 years and was a member of the U.A.W. He enjoyed bowling and was also a member of the UAW Bowling League. Charles was predeceased by his father Lucius Lorenzo Higginbotham. He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline Higginbotham of Neptune; his daughter, Yvonne Higginbotham-Wills and her husband Alfred of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his sons, Vincent Higginbotham of North Richland Hills, Tex., Tyrone Jordan of Mich.; his mother, Alice Broady Higginbotham of Oh.; his grandchildren, Andre Brown, George Watkins, Trey Anderson, Savion Higginbotham, Tyrone Jordan Jr., Tiara Jordan; great grandchildren, Emerald and Unique; his sister, Josephine Higginbotham of Columbus, Oh.; his brother, William Higginbotham and his wife Janice of Columbus, Oh.; a host of special nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Cindel, Charlie and Precious.
