HIGGINBOTTOM, Jack - After a courageous battle, Jack peacefully passed away at Ridgeview Long Term Care Facility on April 8, 2004, in his 50th year. Loving husband of Susan. Devoted and proud father of Jessica and Katie. Will always be remembered in the hearts of his family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Ridgeview Long Term Care Facility for their compassionate care and support. Friends will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Avenue East on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Jack's Pak as they walk for the Multiple Sclerosis Society on April 18, 2004.

Charlotte Howe Higginbotham (1907-2007) Canada
HIGGINBOTHAM - Charlotte Higginbotham passed away peacefully in Regina on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 at the age of 99 years. She was born in Regina in 1907, the daughter of Milton Howe, proprietor of Howe's Jewelry, and Eva Ann Glover, who both moved to Regina from Ontario in the 1890's. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan and was an executive member of the University Womens' Club. She married Chris Higginbotham, a well known Saskatchewan journalist and commentator in 1937. She was predeceased by her husband Chris, who passed away in 1977 and her three brothers, Fred, Glover and Gordon Howe. She is survived, remembered and loved by her son, John Higginbotham, a senior federal public servant, Michele, his wife, a teacher of English as a second language, and her grandsons, Matthew of Montreal and Ian of Ottawa. The family would like to extend their special thanks to Charlotte's longtime friend and companion, Jean Santer, to the warm and committed nurses and caregivers at Pioneer Village, where she resided after moving out of her own apartment four years ago, and to her niece Sue Giles of Kimberley BC, daughter of Gordon Howe who kept in touch so faithfully through the years. HERECHUK, Lynne (nee Higginbottom) - Unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in her 61st year. Loving wife of Steve Aitken. Beloved daughter of Betty Higginbottom. Cherished step mother of Stacey and Tracey and her partner Ray. Grandmother of Kaitlin and Jared. Loving niece of Verva and Newcombe Fenton and their son Paul, Emily and Thomas (deceased) Grice, Shirley and Douglas (deceased) Grice and Lucy Jamieson. Will also be missed by many cousins, family members and friends. Lynne was a 41 year employee of Riddell Sheet Metal and Roofing. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the DONALD V. HIGGINBOTHAM, Eunice Minnetta - Passed away peacefully, into the arms of her loving Saviour, at General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood, on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, in her 96th year. Eunice, beloved wife of the late Jack Higginbotham. Dear mother of Betty and her husband Gordon McCurdy of Burlington. Loving grandmother of John and Katherine. Sadly missed by her niece Marjorie and her husband Brian Waters, of Toronto and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Loella Blakemore and Myrna Hume. Mrs. Higginbotham's visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2007, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. at Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. Gladys Claire Higginbotham Brown (1919-2008) Canada

GLADYS CLAIRE BROWN (nee HIGGINBOTHAM) Peacefully, on July 28, 2008, Gladys passed away Heritage Lodge Personal Care Home in Winnipeg at the age of 88. She is survived by her daughters Heather (Eyolfson), Patricia (Harrison), their families, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her remaining sister Marion, along with many nieces, nephews and special friends. Gladys was predeceased by her loving husband Bill, in 1988. Gladys was born in Oak Lake, MB, on November 9, 1919. After receiving her training as an L.P.N., she enjoyed a long nursing career, caring for people of all ages. She had very fond memories of working with many highly skilled doctors. Gladys also volunteered for different organizations over the years. A particularly exciting, and meaningful event for her was her time spent volunteering with the Pan Am Games held in Winnipeg. Growing up with nature Gladys enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, sharing her love of trees, birds, and animals. Her passion and talent for classical and sacred music was strong throughout her life. She shared her musical ability with family, singing with many church choirs, and attending beloved concerts. A private family farewell will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Psychiatric Association, 141 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa, ON, K1P 5J3.

Beloved husband and soulmate of Millicent (nee Soper). McLEAN - Olga (Higginbottom) Suddenly February 2, our treasured Mom slipped away in the loving presence of her adoring nurses and care aids at Inglewood Care Centre. Mom leaves us with cherished memories. Sharing the loss of our beautiful Mother are her 2 daughters Carol Higginbottom, Donna (Kent) Burry, grandchildren Teresa (Frank), Darren (Lindsay) and great grandchild Declin. May the angels in heaven watch over you Mommy and Nannie. A memorial service will be held at Boal Chapel North Vancouver, Tuesday, February 10th at 2:00 p.m. In an atmosphere of love Mom lived for 7 years experiencing the tender loving care of the nurses and care aids whose kindness my sister and I will never forget.
