Picture taken on Saturday 11th March 2006, donated by Jonathan P. Neill

The church of St Albert's, fills a long-standing need for the Catholic Community in Cantril Farm (now Known as Stockbridge Village), it was completed in June 1976. A fan shaped building, to suit modern liturgical requirements; it enables a seated congregation of 400 to feel close to the sacred sanctuary. The sanctuary is so arranged as to have the Alter and Tabernacle on the main axis.

The Parish of St Albert's was established in 1966, when the building of the Cantril Farm Estate began, and its care was entrusted to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart.
