Joseph Estle was born on 20 October 1777. He was the son of Daniel Estle and Catherine (---). He was single in 1803 tax list; from 1807 through 1827, he is taxed for 100 acres in Cumberland Twp, Greene Co. He married Elsie Crawford circa 1804 at Greene Co, PA.. He served in War of 1812, 1st Regiment, PA. Militia, Capt. William Harper.2 He transferred 100 acres to John Hixenbaugh in 1827 at Cumberland Twp, Greene Co, PA.. He lived in 1828 at Beaver Twp, Guernsey Co, OH.. He moved Green Twp, Hocking Co, OH. in 1837. He moved to Grant Co, IN. in 1849. He died on 1 October 1853 at Fairmont Twp, Grant Co, IN., at age 75.
