Robert Jones was born in 1800 at Llangwm, Denbigh, Wales. He was the son of Robert Jones and Elizabeth (---). He was baptized on 24 August 1800 at Llangwm, Denbighshire, Wales.3 He married Mary Jones, daughter of Robert Jones. He moved his family to Merionethshire, about 1843, where he worked on the Waenfawr Farm of his father-in-law Robert Jones. He died on 22 December 1862 at Waen Fawr, Merionethshire, Wales.4 He was buried at Church of St Mael and St Sullien, Corwen, Wales.4
